16-19 June 2025: Event Guide
Please find below information that you will find useful for the INFORMED AI Summer School.  If you need information not included below please email Harriet Lee on informed-ai@bristol.ac.uk

Schedule

  • For those presenting a short talk please be advise to bring own laptop, HDMI to lightning and HDMI to USB C cables will be provided.  Please prepared a 10 min presentation.  There will be 5 mins change over time between each talk.
  • If you are also providing a poster for the Wednesday afternoon post session, please bring your poster in A1 or A0 size and portrait format.

Venue Information

The Summer School will be held in the School of Mathematics, Fry Building, Woodland Road, Bristol, BS8 1UG

  • Lectures will take place in the Lower Ground Floor lecture theatre LG.02 which is easily accessed through the main building entrance.  There will be people to meet you in the main lobby and guide you to the right place on Monday morning.
  • If you need quiet room at any time during the 4 days, there are open study spaces available.  Please speak to Harriet Lee who can advise.
  • Code of conduct for events held in the School of Mathematics Please familiarise yourself with the content
  • If you need access to Wi-Fi during the event the easiest way is through your own Eduroam access.  There are also instructions here for Guest Wi-Fi – University of Bristol Wireless » Visitors
  • We are providing coffee and tea during the event.  In the interests of sustainability we would encourage you to bring a re-useable mug for hot drinks and bottle for water.  There are water taps available for refills during the day.

Accommodation

  • Accommodation – pack will be emailed to all those staying halls as soon as it is available
  • The Halls of Residence:  Accommodation at 33 | is located on Colston Street.  Map link.  This is approx 10 minute walk to the Fry Building
  • Check in after 4.30pm on Monday 16 June.  Check out before 9.30am on Thursday 19 June
  • The Halls are self catering with fully equipped kitchens and social spaces.  There are many supermarkets and takeaway food options within 5 minutes walk of the Halls.

Dinner

You will have filled in your dinner choices if you opted in and paid for the conference dinner on Wednesday 18 June 2025.  Orders have been sent to the restaurant and we will have a list on the night as a reminder of what you ordered. The dinner will be held at Browns Restaurant which is 2 minutes walk from the Fry Building.  Location map.
